Jem Karacan fails to recover from a leg injury in time to be included in the Reading squad that his due to travel to face Chelsea tomorrow.

Reading midfielder Jem Karacan has been ruled out of tomorrow's match at Chelsea.

The former Turkish youth international has failed to recover from a muscular injury in his leg.

Jason Roberts will also miss the trip because of a suspension that he picked up towards the end of last season.

However, French midfielder Jimmy Kebe has been passed fit following a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring complaint.

Stuart Taylor, who joined the Royals yesterday, will also be included in the squad.
