Barnsley goalkeeper Luke Steele saved two second-half penalties to help his side claim all three points away at Reading this afternoon.

Stephen Foster put the visitors in front before the half-hour mark with a header.

Ian Harte was the first Royals player to see his spot-kick saved after Jay McEveley fouled Jimmy Kebe.

McEveley conceded a penalty again, this time fouling Hal Robson-Kanu, but Noel Hunt saw another kick saved by Steele.

Matt Done doubled the Tykes' lead on 68 minutes, before Robson-Kanu finally scored from the spot when Rob Edwards fouled Hunt.

The win takes Barnsley up to 15th place, while Reading occupy 13th.
