Real Madrid defender Jesus Vallejo has no regrets over Wolves loan move

Jesus Vallejo says that he is enjoying his time at Wolverhampton Wanderers having moved to the Premier League club on a season-long loan from Real Madrid.

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Jesus Vallejo has suggested that he has no regrets over moving to Molineux this summer.

Despite initially preferring to fight for his place at Real Madrid, the centre-back linked up with Wolves on a season-long loan deal in July.

While Vallejo has been restricted to just two starts in the Europa League, the Spaniard has indicated that he is enjoying working under head coach Nuno Espirito Santo.

The 22-year-old is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying: "Real Madrid strongly recommended I should come to the Premier League to improve my football. I think it was the right decision. I feel really wanted here. Nuno called me saying he needed me to come and help the team.

"I've been very happy in my first month. I played in a three-man defence at Real Zaragoza and Eintracht Frankfurt. At Wolverhampton, I tend to play more on the right side but I can genuinely play in any of the three defensive positions. Truth is I feel very at ease in Nuno's system."

Wolves do not have the option to turn the loan move into a permanent deal at the end of the season.
