Real Madrid 'to keep faith with Luka Jovic'

Real Madrid are reportedly considering whether to keep Luka Jovic at the Bernabeu for another season, despite his disappointing form since last summer.

Real Madrid are reportedly giving consideration to retaining the services of Luka Jovic.

Despite high expectations of the Serbia international after his big-money switch to the Bernabeu, just two goals and one assist have been contributed from 15 outings in La Liga.

This has resulted in speculation regarding an exit for the 22-year-old, most likely on loan due to the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic.

However, according to Cadena Cope, Los Blancos may now be prepared to keep hold of the attacker for at least another 12 months.

Much could depend on whether club officials are able to reduce their wage bill by offloading a number of other players.

La Liga president Javier Tebas has recently hinted that Real and rivals Barcelona must cut costs in order to comply with new regulations for Spain's top flight.
