Robbie Keane has said that the Republic of Ireland squad is relishing the tag of Group C underdogs at Euro 2012.
Giovanni Trapattoni's men have been widely tipped for an early plane home after being drawn against Spain, Italy and Croatia.
However, Keane has revealed that confidence is high within the squad, who fancy their chances of springing a surprise in Eastern Europe.
"It's good for us that people think that because we know as a group of players, the confidence we have at this moment in time, from what I can see, is part of the team," said Keane.
"The intensity in training has been great, but around the place, people don't seem to be uptight or worried too much about next week, and it's always important as a player to have a calmness about you."
Ireland qualified for Euro 2012 after beating Estonia in a two-legged playoff.
