Team News: Chinedu Obasi handed rare Schalke 04 start

Chinedu Obasi starts for Schalke 04, while Ivan Perisic is drafted into the Wolfsburg XI in place of Diego.

Schalke 04 head coach Jens Keller has made two changes to his side from last weekend's 3-0 win over Hamburger SV for the home clash with Wolfsburg.

Chinedu Obasi is handed a rare start in the attacking three behind Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, marking his sixth appearance since signing permanently in 2012, while in the other change Benedikt Howedes returns for the suspended Atsuto Uchida.

For Wolfsburg, Ivan Perisic comes into the starting XI in place of Diego, who made a late switch to La Liga side Atletico Madrid last night.

Schalke: Fahrmann; Howedes, Santana, Matip, Kolasinac; Boateng, Neustadter; Farfan, Meyer, Obasi; Huntelaar

Wolfsburg: Benaglio; Ochs, Naldo, Knoche, Rodriguez; Arnold, Luiz Gustavo; Perisic, De Bruyne, Caligiuri; Olic
