Scotland interim boss Billy Stark refuses to rule himself out of the running for the job full-time.

Scotland interim manager Billy Stark has refused to rule out the possibility of taking the job on a permanent basis.

The Under-21s coach has taken on first-team duties following the departure of Craig Levein earlier this week, and is eager to prove himself in their upcoming fixture against Luxembourg.

"I've been the Under-21 manager and I've thoroughly enjoyed that job," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying. "As far as I'm concerned, I'm going to lead the team next week and we'll take it from there.

"I don't know how that process works in terms of applications.

"I've been happy in the Under-21s job and I'm honoured and absolutely delighted to have the faith of the board that I can prove myself capable of taking the team next week. I don't think you rule anything out in football."

Owen Coyle, Joe Jordan and Gordon Strachan have been named as the favourites to take on the Scotland job on a permanent basis.
