Sheffield United are continuing to monitor Blackpool's Steve Davies, and look set to make a third bid for the striker, according to reports.
Davies has been on the radar of Sheffield United manager Nigel Clough over the last year. A deal was agreed in principle between the clubs four months ago, but the move was blocked by Blackpool's owners.
"We are always looking at people," Clough told The Star.
"That process never stops. There are a few in particular that we have in mind. But we'll have to wait and see what's possible and we won't be disclosing any names."
Davies's place in the Blackpool squad may be under threat, following the arrival of Gary Madine.
