Rickie Lambert expects "tough" Newcastle United test

Southampton striker Rickie Lambert believes that Newcastle will provide "tough" opposition on Saturday when the teams meet in the Premier League.

Southampton striker Rickie Lambert has insisted that Newcastle United will provide "tough" opposition when the teams meet in the Premier League this weekend.

The Saints will move above Newcastle and into eighth place in the table if they win at St Mary's Stadium on Saturday.

However, Lambert believes that it will be a difficult ask for him and his teammates to topple the Magpies.

"It will be a tough game against Newcastle this weekend, it's always tough because they have strong players that can finish, and under the manager they know how to win games," he told the club's official website.

Lambert has scored 10 goals in 32 games for Southampton this season.
