Cedric Soares poised for Inter Milan move

The full-back is set to become the latest player to leave Southampton this month.

Southampton full-back Cedric Soares is closing in on a move to Inter Milan, Press Association Sport understands.

Manolo Gabbiadini, Steven Davis and Wesley Hoedt have all left St Mary's this month as manager Ralph Hasenhuttl attempts to reshape his squad.

Cedric, a European champion with Portugal in 2016, looks set to be the next to depart Saints, with a move to Inter on the cards.

Talks for the 27-year-old to head to San Siro on loan with an option to move permanently in the summer are progressing.

Manchester United's Matteo Darmian has also been monitored.

Cedric joined Southampton in 2015 in a 6.5 million euros (£4.7million) deal from Sporting Lisbon and has struggled for game time under Hasenhuttl.
