Sebastien Bassong thinks that Tottenham are more than capable of topping their Europa League group despite losing to Rubin Kazan.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Sebastien Bassong is confident that the North London side can top their Europa League group and secure a spot in the final 32 despite suffering defeat in Russia.

The Premier League club have dropped to third in Group A, one point behind leaders PAOK Salonika, after their 1-0 defeat to Rubin Kazan last night.

"We can still finish top of the group," said Bassong. "There are two games left. We'll get the chance to put things right.

"We've got a strong squad and quality players so there is no reason why we can't finish first or second."

Harry Redknapp's side will play their next European group clash against PAOK Salonika at White Hart Lane on November 30.
