Eric Dier: 'Tottenham Hotspur are not soft anymore'

Tottenham Hotspur's Eric Dier believes that the club are not a soft touch anymore due to their 12-match unbeaten run in the Premier League.

Eric Dier has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are no longer a "soft" team following their impressive unbeaten run in the Premier League.

Mauricio Pochettino's men extended their unbeaten streak to 12 matches in the top flight by defeating West Ham United 4-1 at White Hart Lane to rise to fifth in the table, four points behind leaders Leicester City.

Dier believes that his side's success this season has been due to the aggressive approach they have taken into their matches, and he is hopeful that will continue throughout the campaign.

He is quoted as saying by The Mirror: "Hopefully we have got rid of that 'soft' label because it is not a nice label to have. I think we have proved a lot of people wrong.

"We have played some very aggressive football, we get stuck in, we get about, and I think we are a team most others don't want to play against.

"One of our main characteristics has been high-tempo football and we showed it again against West Ham. If we want to win that's how we've got to play."

Tottenham are next in action against Qarabag FK in the Europa League on Thursday.
