Chris Hughton impressed by Tottenham Hotspur squad depth

Chris Hughton believes that Tottenham Hotspur's squad depth makes them contenders for a spot in the Champions League.

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur's squad depth makes them contenders for a spot in the top four this season.

The Canaries face Spurs at Carrow Road on Sunday, and Hughton believes that Tim Sherwood will always have the option to spring a surprise with his team selection.

"They made some changes from their last game at Newcastle, and they are able to do that because of the squad they've got," the Norwich manager told journalists at a pre-match press conference.

"I think they are top four contenders because of that. They have a lot of depth to the squad, but they're up against a resurgent Liverpool and Everton."

Spurs are currently fifth in the Premier League.
