Harry Kane: "We learn and come back stronger"

A "proud" Harry Kane says that the Tottenham Hotspur players must "learn and come back stronger" after they lost out to Leicester City in the Premier League title race.

Harry Kane has urged his Tottenham Hotspur teammates to "learn and come back stronger" from their Premier League title disappointment.

Last night's 2-2 draw away at Chelsea meant that second-placed Spurs could no longer catch surprise table-toppers Leicester City, who were consequently confirmed as champions for the first time in their history.

Nevertheless, leading goalscorer Kane has insisted that he is still proud of Tottenham's achievements this term.

"I'm so proud of this team and club. We put it all on the line but unfortunately it just wasn't enough. We learn and come back stronger," he wrote on Twitter.

"Congratulations to Leicester on what they achieved. Finally thanks to all the fans! Let's finish the season strong now."

The North Londoners return to action on Sunday afternoon with a home clash against Southampton.
