Harry Redknapp says that Tottenham Hotspur's dip in form has nothing to do with the transfer deals carried out in January.

Harry Redknapp has defended Tottenham Hotspur's recent slump in the Premier League and claimed that he has no regrets regarding January transfer business.

The North London club, who have dropped from third to fifth in the table, offloaded Steven Pienaar and Vedran Corluka on loan while bringing in Ryan Nelsen and Louis Saha on short-term contracts.

"Corluka wanted to go. He wanted to move," Redknapp told The Mirror. "Pienaar wanted to go, so we let him go.

"We have no problem in midfield as I have got Sandro to play there. The only problem that we have had is that we are a little bit short up front.

"I had five central defenders and now I have only two. I have lost Dawson, Kaboul and Nelsen. I had five. How many do you want? Five is plenty for two positions."

Spurs are preparing to take on Blackburn Rovers this Sunday.
