Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been handed a boost in their bid to keep midfielder Christian Eriksen.
The Denmark international has enjoyed another terrific campaign in North London, contributing 10 goals and 16 assists in the Premier League and Champions League.
There is uncertainty surrounding Eriksen's future, however, as the playmaker entertains offers from other clubs due to a desire to take on a new challenge.
Real Madrid have been strongly linked with the 27-year-old, but AS claims that the player is still open to extending his stay at the Premier League outfit.
Spurs are allegedly insisting that Eriksen is not for sale, although chairman Daniel Levy is unlikely to be prepared to risk one of the club's star men leaving on a free transfer next summer.
The report hints that negotiations are ongoing between the two parties.
