Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino stays cool when probed on Harry Kane's future, insisting that he has not spoken to the striker in the past couple of days.

Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that he has not spoken to Harry Kane about the latest speculation surrounding his future, as the striker has been so upset in the wake of Tottenham Hotspur's European exit.

The England international came agonisingly close to finding the net in the dying embers of Wednesday night's Champions League last-16 tie against Juventus, which Spurs lost 4-3 on aggregate.

Kane has been repeatedly touted as a summer transfer target for Real Madrid, but reports in the British press on Friday suggest that he is willing to stick around in North London for another year, regardless of any concrete interest from Los Blancos.

Asked for an update on the Premier League's joint-top scorer, however, Pochettino would not give too much away.

"Harry has been so disappointed after Wednesday he's not had time to talk to me about his future and his situation," he told reporters at his pre-match presser ahead of Sunday's trip to Bournemouth.

"Will he stay or go? There are a lot of rumours in football. You need to listen and hear and live with these rumours because it's part of football and that's the most important thing.

"The rumours don't affect us, the team or the club or any of our decisions. I can't say nothing though - there are always rumours."

Kane has 39 goals for Tottenham this season, 24 of which have come in the top flight.
