Report: Younes Kaboul emerges as Roma transfer target

Younes Kaboul could be given an escape route from Tottenham Hotspur with Roma reportedly keen to sign the French defender.

Roma have reportedly shown an interest in signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Younes Kaboul.

The 29-year-old has struggled to hold down a place in the Spurs starting lineup this campaign despite being named as club captain, failing to make a single appearance in the Premier League since November.

Reports in Italy claim that Serie A title challengers Roma are keen to bring the Frenchman to the Stadio Olimpico on loan before the transfer window closes this evening, with a view to a permanent deal at the end of the season.

Kaboul, who has also been linked with a move to Besiktas in the past, is said to be one of two targets for Rudi Garcia alongside Lille's Rio Mavuba.
