Leicester City midfielder James Maddison has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur.
Maddison only linked up with the Foxes in the summer, but the Englishman has already contributed five goals and four assists in the Premier League.
According to The Mirror, that return has resulted in Spurs beginning to monitor the progress of the 22-year-old as they consider alternatives to Christian Eriksen.
The Dane has less than 18 months remaining on his contract, and with little progress being made in negotiations, Spurs have been left in a position where they may have to sell the playmaker.
Spurs are also said to be keen to increase their number of homegrown players in order to meet Premier League and Champions League criteria.
