Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has revealed that Jonathan Woodgate has "accepted" his decision to substitute him after just 19 minutes at Molineux this afternoon.
The boss believes that his side were struggling to deal with the threat of Wolves winger Matt Jarvis, and as a result former England international Woodgate was sacrificed.
"I decided that was the right thing to do," Pulis told BBC Sport. "You have to be brave enough to make decisions.
"I made it because he was having problems with Matt Jarvis. But he's accepted it."
The Potters went on to win the match 2-1.
