Sunderland 'reject second Brighton & Hove Albion bid for Paddy McNair'

Brighton & Hove Albion reportedly have an improved bid for Sunderland's Paddy McNair rejected.

Brighton & Hove Albion have reportedly had a second bid for Paddy McNair rejected by Sunderland.

The Black Cats are said to have rebuffed the Premier League side's initial offer of £2m and, according to Sky Sports News, have now turned down an improved bid of £3.5m.

The report states that the Seagulls face competition for the Northern Irishman's services, with an unnamed London club said to have tabled a £3.75m offer for the player.

Sunderland are reportedly unwilling to part with McNair for less than £4m.

Meanwhile, a number of Championship clubs are rumoured to be monitoring the 23-year-old.
