Swansea City have confirmed that Jefferson Montero will be out for around a month with a hamstring strain.
The Ecuadorian winger limped off in the Boxing Day victory over Aston Villa after earning the free kick that Gylfi Sigurdsson curled home for the winner.
Montero was a fringe player in the first few months after a summer switch from Mexican side Morelia, but since making his full Premier League debut in October he has become a regular feature in Garry Monk's side.
The 25-year-old is yet to score for the Swans, but has provided four assists in the league.
