Swansea City's Leon Britton not 'taking notice' of Newcastle United's situation

Leon Britton insists that the Swansea City players are not focused on Newcastle United's "turmoil" ahead of Saturday's encounter.

Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton has insisted that he is not concerning himself with the disgruntled atmosphere at Newcastle United ahead of Saturday's clash.

The Welsh outfit will travel to St James' Park amid pressure on Magpies manager Alan Pardew, who recently admitted that his job isn't safe.

Swansea, who have clinched just one win in their last six, will face a side who have lost four in a row at the weekend.

"They've got their own situation with the fans, what they want and what they're not happy with," the South Wales Evening Post quotes Britton as saying.

"As players you don't take too much notice of that. You've just got to worry about your own job. We know there's a bit of turmoil, but we just need to focus on what we have to do."

The Swans are currently three points above the relegation zone.
