Ajax boss Frank de Boer hints at interest in Swansea City post

Ajax manager Frank de Boer says that taking charge at Swansea City could be a possibility if the Premier League club paint a "pretty picture" for him.

Frank de Boer has suggested that he would be interested in managing Swansea City, despite having over a year left on his Ajax contract.

The 45-year-old said that he has had no contact with the Welsh side, but revealed that if a "pretty picture" was painted then he might be persuaded to move into Premier League management for the first time.

De Boer is thought to be considering where he will be next season and when asked about his future, he told Dutch media: "The last club I was linked with was Swansea City, I have had no contact with them at this time.

"But what if these people paint me a pretty picture that they are in that category of clubs with which I could do something beautiful? Like clubs such as Tottenham and Liverpool.

"Those are the sort of clubs with which you would want to work. But the most important thing would be the feeling I get."

Premier League strugglers Swansea have been without a permanent manager since Garry Monk's departure last month, and caretaker boss Alan Curtis could be given the job on an interim basis until the end of the season should the club want to bide their time and wait until the summer to find their next full-time manager.
