Garry Monk to be appointed Swansea City manager in next 48 hours?

Garry Monk is expected to be named Swansea City's permanent manager within the next 48 hours.

Garry Monk will reportedly become Swansea City's permanent manager within the next 48 hours.

The 35-year-old was named interim player-manager at the Liberty Stadium in February following the sacking of Michael Laudrup.

However, Monk is expected to be handed the role full time before the weekend, according to Sky Sports News.

The defender has been at the Welsh club since 2004, when he joined from Barnsley.

Swansea end their season on Sunday with a trip to the Stadium of Light to face Sunderland.
