Swansea City manager Garry Monk does not expect to lose the services of his captain Ashley Williams during the summer.
The Wales international's performances this term have resulted in speculation that he could join one of the Premier League's bigger clubs at the end of the season.
However, Monk believes that the 30-year-old's affection for Swansea will see him remain at the Liberty Stadium.
"He's the captain of the club and of his country. He's been linked every year he's been here with a move away. It was important in the summer that he signed that new contract," Monk told reporters.
"He's very settled here and loves the club. He loves what we do and stands for how I want to take the club forward. I don't envisage that changing."
Williams joined the Swans from Stockport County back in 2008.
