Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins has revealed that the club would like to retain the services of Ki Sung-Yueng.
The South Korean international, who has 12 months left to run on his deal at the Liberty Stadium, spent last season on loan with Sunderland and has recently been linked with a switch to Aston Villa.
However, Jenkins has confirmed that there is a contract offer on the table for the 25-year-old, should he want to stay put.
"We want to keep him, but obviously he has got to want to stay here and sign a deal with us. I think that is only fair to us," BBC Sport quotes Jenkins as saying.
Ki joined Swansea from Scottish champions Celtic in 2012.
