Vitesse star Marco van Ginkel admits that he feels flattered to be linked with interest from Chelsea.

Vitesse midfielder Marco van Ginkel has said that he is flattered to be linked with interest from Chelsea.

The 20-year-old, who is currently on international duty with the Netherlands at the European Under-21 Championship, is rumoured to be close to sealing a summer switch to Stamford Bridge.

While Van Ginkel was reluctant to say too much following Jong Oranje's 5-1 victory over Russia on Sunday evening, he admitted that it is pleasing to be admired by the Premier League club.

"I'm not doing this now, but I'm flattered by their interest," Van Ginkel told reporters.

Van Ginkel scored eight goals in 33 Eredivisie appearances last season.
