Watford interested in signing Massimo Ambrosini

Watford boss Giuseppe Sannino expresses interest in signing veteran midfielder Massimo Ambrosini.

Watford boss Giuseppe Sannino has expressed interest in signing free agent Massimo Ambrosini ahead of the new season.

The veteran midfielder spent last season at Fiorentina following an 18-year stint with AC Milan, but was not offered a new contract in Florence.

"Who wouldn't like to train him? He's one of the most serious Italian players, a really good professional," Sannino told Tuttomercatoweb.it when quizzed on his interest in Ambrosini.

Ambrosini has also been linked with a move to newly-promoted Serie A outfit Cesena, the club where he started his career.
