West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce admits he is 'frustrated' that he is unable to call upon Andy Carroll against Liverpool on Sunday.

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has admitted that the Hammers will miss the impact of Andy Carroll when they play Liverpool on Sunday.

Carroll is ineligible due to restrictions on players featuring against their parent club, and Allardyce believes that his side will miss the 24-year-old's influence.

The 58-year-old told reporters: "Andy looks to be in full flow and good goalscoring touch, which is what we've been waiting for a long time.

"It's frustrating to be without Andy for Sunday and it is for him as well but that's the way the fixtures have fallen."

The England international produced a man-of-the-match performance last weekend as West Ham recorded a 3-1 win over West Bromwich Albion.
