Roberto Martinez confirms that Hugo Rodallega could be out of action for several months with a knee injury.

Wigan Athletic could be without the services of striker Hugo Rodallega for a lengthy period of time, according to manager Roberto Martinez.

The 26-year-old suffered a suspected knee ligament rupture during Wigan's 2-1 defeat to Everton earlier today.

"It doesn't look too good," Martinez told Sky Sports News. "I wouldn't like to say before we get the scans, but the problem is with his medial ligaments in his right knee.

"That's a real negative, a real blow.

"He will have a scan in the morning but it doesn't look a good one."

Rodallega joined Wigan in 2009.
