Mick McCarthy reveals that Ronald Zubar will replace the injured Richard Stearman for Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Mick McCarthy has revealed that Ronald Zubar will take the place of Richard Stearman over the next few weeks.

Full-back Stearman has been ruled out for a month after undergoing surgery on a broken wrist that he sustained against Everton last Saturday.

Zubar has not played a competitive fixture since February but is expected to feature in a reserve match later this week.

"It's a blow to lose Stearman, but Zubar is coming back and he'll play tonight so hopefully he'll be ready to come back on Saturday because he's the natural replacement," the boss told the Express & Star

"Zubar is six foot tall as opposed to Stearman, who's 6ft 2ins, but he's very athletic and powerful in the air, so he can take care of that side of it."

Zubar joined Wolves in 2009 from French club Marseille.
