Ben Youngs: 'England must finish Six Nations strongly'

Ben Youngs urges England to finish the Six Nations strongly as they look to keep their title bid alive.

Ben Youngs has called on England to keep the Six Nations alive by getting back to their best against Scotland next weekend.

A defeat to Ireland in Dublin means that Stuart Lancaster's side will need other results to go their way in the closing stages of the campaign if they are to win the title, but Youngs insists that England still have a lot to play for in the final two games.

"We're still in this championship. It's a good test of character to see how you react," the scrum-half is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"We need to get the result now, as well as the performance, and get back to the levels of the second half in Wales.

"That means playing on the front foot, playing English rugby, being powerful, getting over the top of teams, being good at the breakdown, beating teams round the corner and being really direct."

England will finish their campaign by hosting France on March 21.
