The unseeded Nara was broken in the first game, but then dished out the same treatment to her opponent.

This back-and-forth nature of the first set continued, until Jankovic held to move 4-2 ahead.

The former world number one soon wrapped up the first set 6-4, taking a total of 43 minutes to do so.

The second set was more competitive as Nara stepped up her game and won 36 points.

However, that did not prove to be enough to force a third set as Jankovic won the second 7-5 to book her place in the fourth round of the tournament.
