Jo-Wilfried Tsonga beats Blaz Kavcic to reach last 16 in style

French number one Jo-Wilfried Tsonga hits top form as he overcomes Blaz Kavcic in just 79 minutes to reach round four of the Australian Open.

French number one Jo-Wilfried Tsonga needed just 79 minutes to complete a straight-sets victory over Blaz Kavcic in the third round of the Australian Open on Saturday.

The 27-year-old, who is seeded seventh, prevailed 6-2 6-1 6-4 in front of a well-entertained crowd on Margaret Court Arena.

Tsonga recorded seven aces, 45 winners and came to the net 27 times.

He will now face compatriot Richard Gasquet for a place in the quarter-finals.
