Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic could meet in the French Open semi-finals after being placed in the same half of the draw.

Reigning French Open champion Rafael Nadal has been drawn to play Daniel Brands in the opening round at Roland Garros.

Nadal has lost just once at the Grand Slam in Paris, but he could potentially meet world number one Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals.

Djokovic will play Belgium's Daniel Goffin in the first round, while Roger Federer will begin his campaign against a qualifier.

Number four seed David Ferrer will play Marinko Matosevic, while Tomas Berdych will clash with home favourite Gael Monfils.
