Heather Watson has qualified for the main draw at Indian Wells after comfortably seeing off the challenge of Teliana Pereira.
The Brit is attempting to move back up the WTA rankings after a disappointing 2013, and she took a step closer to regaining her place in the top 100 with a 6-2 6-2 victory over the Brazilian.
The world number 134 broke twice during a dominant first set, and although she dropped serve to allow her opponent an opportunity in the second, she hit straight back to take the final three games of the match to seal her route through to the main draw.
Watson will now play 16-year-old Belinda Bencic in the first round, who is widely regarded to be the most exciting prospect in the women's game.
