World number one Novak Djokovic has described his quarter-final win over Marin Cilic as the "best match" that he has played so far in the Monte Carlo Masters.
The Serbian stormed through a 6-0 6-3 victory on the clay surface and will face Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals.
This year, Djokovic has lost just twice and he believes that he is executing his matches with all the "variety" that he possesses.
"Just all in all, it was probably the best match I've played so far in the tournament," Djokovic told The AP. "That's what I want, what I wish for in this moment. I like the way I'm playing right now. I'm trying to impose all the variety in the game that I have."
Djokovic is on course to win his third Masters title in a row following wins at Indian Wells and Miami.
