Milos Raonic defeats Tommy Robredo in three sets to book his place in the semi-finals of the Barcelona Open.

Milos Raonic has beaten Tommy Robredo in three sets to reach the semi-finals of the Barcelona Open.

Robredo took the opening set 7-5 in a tie-break before Raonic fought back 6-3 in the second.

Both players gave little away in the third but it was the Canadian world number 13 who sealed the win with a 7-2 triumph in a third-set tie-break.

Raonic will face defending champion Rafael Nadal in the last four on Saturday.
