Barcelona reveal that Memphis Depay has a 'left hamstring strain', which will keep him out for an unspecified period of time.

Barcelona attacker Memphis Depay is set for another spell on the sidelines with a 'left hamstring strain'.

The Netherlands international has scored 10 times and registered two assists in 30 appearances for the Catalan giants this season, having arrived on a free transfer from Lyon last July.

The 28-year-old missed a spell earlier this season with a hamstring issue, while he was also absent for four La Liga matches in January and February due to an Achilles problem.

Memphis had been in line to travel to Germany for Barcelona's Europa League quarter-final first leg with Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday night.

However, the Catalan outfit have revealed that the Dutchman has a 'left hamstring strain' and 'his recovery will determine his availability' for the coming matches.

Memphis was a key player for his La Liga club in the opening months of the season but has struggled to secure a regular spot since the turn of the year.

Arsenal have reportedly been in touch with Barcelona to discuss a possible move for the former Manchester United forward during this summer's transfer window.
