Monaco snatch dramatic win against Reims

AS Monaco score with virtually the last kick of the game to beat 10-man Reims in tonight's Ligue 1 match.

AS Monaco have beaten Reims in their Ligue 1 match this evening with a goal in the fifth minute of injury time.

Jeremy Toulalan fired wide in what was an encouraging start for the hosts, but Reims showed that they were a threat when Aissa Mandi forced Danijel Subasic into a good stop.

However, Claudio Ranieri's side were soon in the lead when Valere Germain headed into the top corner from Joao Moutinho's cross.

Monaco's Emmanuel Riviere then failed to make the most of two decent chances, firing wide from Moutinho's corner before seeing a shot blocked.

Despite being a goal down, the away side continued to ask questions of the Monaco defence. Prince Oniangue probably should have done better after being found by Odair Fortes, but his header lacked accuracy and drifted over. Florent Ghisolfi also blasted wide, again from a Fortes assist.

Oniangue was on target with his next chance as he fired past Subasic to equalise for the visitors.

However, Monaco responded well. Toulalan received the ball from Mounir Obbadi and placed a right-footed shot into the bottom corner to restore the home side's advantage.

The home fans might have expected Monaco to increase their lead after that, but it was Oniangue who equalised for a second time with a smart finish inside the box.

Despite Mandi's late red card, Reims continued to keep out their opponents. However, with 95 minutes played, Layvin Kurzawa fired in from close range to secure a very late win for the hosts.
