Cuco Martina swaps Stoke City for Feyenoord

Everton confirm that Cuco Martina's loan spell at Stoke City has been cut short so that he can link up with Feyenoord until the summer.

Everton right-back Cuco Martina has ended his loan spell with Stoke City to link up with Dutch side Feyenoord until the end of the season.

The Curacao international joined Stoke last summer and was due to spend the remainder of the campaign at the Bet365 Stadium.

After falling down the pecking order, however, Everton decided to recall Martina from his spell in the Championship and send him to the Eredivisie.

Martina played 18 times for Stoke but was not part of new manager Nathan Jones's plans.

There is not currently an agreement in place for the 29-year-old, who was born in Rotterdam and has previously represented Twente, to join Feyenoord permanently in the summer.

Feyenoord are third in the Eredivisie table, while Stoke are 15th in the Championship.
