Pape Diop rescues Racing Santander a point from their trip to Getafe.

Getafe and Racing Santander shared two goals and the spoils at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez this afternoon.

The best chance of the first half went the way of the visitors in the 25th minute when Lautaro Acosta was brought down inside the area by Alexis. Pape Diop stepped up to take the resultant penalty, but sent his effort against the crossbar.

Diop committed another error in the 59th minute when he gave away penalty by tripping up Miku inside his own penalty area. Miku got up to take the kick, which he dispatched past visiting keeper Mario to break the deadlock.

However, Diop atoned for his two earlier mistakes when he equalised six minutes later. Jairo Samperio found the Senegalese attacker inside the box, who shot into the roof of the net from eight yards out.

Pedro Leon has the best chance to win the match for Getafe in the closing stages, but he sent his low effort wide of target from a narrow angle.
