Nathan Clarke to leave Leyton Orient

Leyton Orient captain Nathan Clarke announces that he is to leave the club this summer in order to be closer to his family.

Leyton Orient captain Nathan Clarke has revealed that he is to leave the club this summer.

The 31-year-old is seeking a move back to his native North of England in order to be closer to his family.

Clarke, whose contract is due to expire next summer, has made over 100 appearances for Orient since 2012.

"I feel living apart has become too hard," he told the club's official website. "I have on many occasions put the club before my family's happiness and that should never happen. I have made the decision to leave and move back North to be at home with my family."

Clarke joined the O's from Huddersfield Town three years ago.
