James Maddison is set to be available for Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League clash with Liverpool on Saturday, according to a report.

James Maddison is reportedly expected to be available for Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League clash with Liverpool on Saturday.

The 26-year-old has been in impressive form for Spurs during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring two goals and registering four assists in seven appearances in all competitions.

Maddison set up both of Tottenham's goals against Arsenal in the North London derby last weekend, but he was forced off late on at the Emirates Stadium due to a knee injury.

Initially, there was serious concern when it came to the attacker due to the impact on his knee joint, but Maddison was able to return to his feet shortly after and continue in the match.

According to football.london, the former Leicester City playmaker has been training on the grass this week, fuelling suggestions that he will be available for the game with Liverpool.

"I had a little moment when I tackled Jorginho where I jolted my knee a little bit," Maddison told reporters after the clash with Arsenal.

"You do not want to ever be playing in a derby where you are not at 100 per cent because it can cost the team, so I had to come off for the last little period."

Maddison is believed to have undergone a knee scan earlier this week, which showed no structural damage, clearing him to feature in the contest with Liverpool.

The Englishman has netted against Bournemouth and Burnley in the Premier League this season, in addition to providing two assists in both of the matches with Brentford and Arsenal.

Tottenham have been in excellent form this season under the management of Ange Postecoglou, who has made a positive impression since arriving as head coach over the summer.

Spurs lost on penalties to Fulham in the EFL Cup at the end of August, but they are unbeaten in the league, picking up 14 points from six matches, which has left them in fourth spot in the table.

Tottenham will take on another unbeaten side in the shape of Liverpool in North London on Saturday before heading to Luton Town in their last game before the October international break.

Spurs do not have any European football this season, while they were knocked out of the League Cup last month, so the capital outfit only have the league to worry about before beginning their FA Cup campaign in January.
