Brendan Rodgers: 'Kolo Toure will learn from error'

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers says that Kolo Toure will learn from his mistake in the 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion today.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has said that Kolo Toure will learn from the mistake that cost the Reds two points in the 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion today.

The veteran defender played the ball straight to Victor Anichebe before the striker slotted past goalkeeper Simon Mignolet to cancel out Daniel Sturridge's first-half strike.

"He is a wonderful player. He probably should not have received the ball in the first place. I will never criticise any player, especially a defender," he told reporters.

"It was a good finish in the end by Anichebe and it is something, I am sure even at his age, Kolo will learn from."

Consequently, Rodgers's men sit just two points ahead of fifth-placed Everton in the Premier League table ahead of the race to the Champions League qualification.
