Napoli are reportedly ready to sell Kalidou Koulibaly, who has been linked with Manchester United and Chelsea, this summer.

Napoli are reportedly ready to sell Kalidou Koulibaly during this summer's transfer window.

The Senegal international has been linked with a move away from Naples over the last couple of years, but it is thought that the Serie A outfit had set an asking price of £100m for the 29-year-old, which scuppered his chances of leaving the club.

A recent report claimed that Napoli needed to make cuts in the upcoming market due to the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak, with Koulibaly's valuation potentially dropping to around €45m (£39m).

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian club's president Aurelio De Laurentiis wants the experienced centre-back off the wage budget and is therefore prepared to sanction a summer exit.

Manchester United and Chelsea have both been strongly linked with the former Metz youngster, who has scored once in 30 appearances at club level during the 2020-21 campaign.

Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to want a partner for Harry Maguire next season, while Chelsea are also believed to be planning on signing a new central defender in the upcoming market.
