Huddersfield unbeaten run ended

Huddersfield's 43-match unbeaten run in the league is finally ended by Charlton at the Valley.

Huddersfield's 43 match unbeaten run in the league was finally ended as they fell to a 2-0 defeat against Charlton at the Valley tonight.

The Terriers went into the game chasing Arsenal's 49-match unbeaten record, having recently passed the 42-game landmark previously set by Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest.

However Yann Kermorgant and Hogan Eprahim goals prevented Lee Clark's side extending their historic run, which began on January 1st this year.

A 2-2 draw against Carlisle that day began the sequence which saw them go the rest of the 2010-2011 season undefeated, only for them to be beaten by Peterborough in the playoff final.

But once the league campaign began again in August, normal service was resumed as they went the opening 18 games of this season without defeat.

Defeat at the hands of the league leaders tonight however finally ended the sequence, which consisted of 25 victories and 18 draws.
