Reading struggling to tie up Jamie Mackie deal

Reading are struggling to finalise a deal to sign Jamie Mackie permanently from Nottingham Forest, according to a report.

Reading are reportedly struggling to strike a deal with Nottingham Forest for Jamie Mackie.

The 29-year-old forward spent last season on loan to the Royals, scoring six goals in 39 games and helping them to reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

It is thought that the Berkshire outfit are keen to sign the former Queens Park Rangers man on a permanent basis.

They have unable to agree a deal with Forest so far, though, according to Here Is The City.

Mackie is now expected to begin pre-season training with Forest, although the Reds are said to be willing to take offers for the Scotland international.

Mackie signed a three-year deal when he moved to the City Ground from QPR in the summer of 2013.
