Carlo Ancelotti hails Champions League win against Schalke 04

Real Madrid's 6-1 win against Schalke 04 is a "perfect" result, claims Carlo Ancelotti.

Carlo Ancelotti has hailed Real Madrid's "perfect" win against Schalke 04 in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie.

Los Blancos produced a ruthless display and ran out 6-1 winners with two goals apiece from Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale.

"The match was perfect. We all played well together, working as one. Everything has gone well tonight - defensively, in attack. The front three especially looked very dangerous," manager Ancelotti told Canal+.

Real welcome Schalke to the Bernabeu on Tuesday, March 18 for the second leg.
